Norwegian Cruise Line cancels the first voyage of Norwegian Prima from Amsterdam (Netherlands)
NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line canceled the first voyage of its Norwegian Prima ship from Amsterdam (Netherlands), due to challenges in the supply chain.
The vessel of the new class was scheduled to leave Amsterdam on August 17.
Norwegian Pima was due to embark on an 8-night sailing through Northern Europe, including visits to Brussels (Belgium), Bergen (Norway), Geiranger (Norway), Akureyri (Iceland, Lake Myvatn), Isafjordur (Westfjords Iceland), and end in Reykjavik (Iceland) on August 25.
In a letter sent to impacted passengers, Norwegian Cruise Line said:
“We value your loyalty and always aspire to provide you and your loved ones with the experience of a lifetime. This is why we are so sorry to inform you that as a result of supply chain challenges, we are forced to cancel Norwegian Prima’s August 17, 2022 sailing from Amsterdam, Netherlands.”
This means that Norwegian Prima’s first cruise with passengers will depart on September 3, from Amsterdam (Netherlands). The 10-night journey will end in Copenhagen (Denmark) on September 13.
As a result, passengers will automatically receive a 100% refund of the original payment method.
Norwegian said the refund would be processed within 30 business days and refunded within 7 to 10 business days of the processing date. Passengers who have booked a voyage using a future cruise loan will return it to the Latitude account.
In addition, the line is offering a 25% discount on another sailing. The discount can be combined with all NCL promos at that time.
